Qualified or self taught MUA
I'm self taught, but I love to be up to date as much as I can, training with makeup artist that inspire me including Yasmin James, Stacey Marie, and Mitchel. I believe in constantly training and updating your skills, there’s always something to learn or improve on.
I’ve been passionate about makeup for as long as I can remember, and I very first started off in the industry when i was 19 working for Estee Lauder as a beauty advisor, progressing to assistant account manager and makeup artist for the region. Since then my passion has only increased. I decided to start my own business after 5 years with Estee Lauder, and I’ve now been running LUXE Beauty for over 3 years, giving a total of around 8 years in the industry.
I absolutely love the reaction when clients look in the mirror for the first time after having their makeup done. Exceeding my clients expectations is the best feeling. Knowing that they feel so confident in the way they look, whether it’s for a night out, or for their wedding on the best day of their lives, knowing I’ve make them feel special makes all the hard parts of the job is worthwhile.
There’s so many artists that I look up to and who inspire me, but I’ve always been a huge lover of Stacey Marie’s work, she’s incredibly talented, creative and versatile, a true artist.
1. Eldora lash glue is a must, I cant live without it, full stop.
2. I’m obsessed with how amazing and fluffy Olivia Belle Beauty lashes are too, I could use them on every client, I need an unlimited supply!
3. Peaches and cream pigments! the fact that they have one named LUXE just makes it even better
For a lightweight foundation I love using Sally Hansen airbrush legs on client skin. It’s a miracle worker, with it being lightweight, water resistant, and with coverage too, it makes it the perfect summer base. I use this on its own or sometimes under foundation to give an extra touch of coverage, tint of colour and glow.
