"Makeup has been a passion for a long as I can remember..I see it as both a way to express myself and another creative outlet"
Gráinne Mary Theresa Coughlan
Where are you based?
Qualified or self taught MUA
Qualified beautician and Makeup Artist. Diploma in fashion & media makeup from LA College of creative arts
When did you realise you were passionate about makeup and why?
I have always being a creative person, I draw, paint, knit, make clothes, and will turn my hand to anything creative. Makeup has been a passion for a long as I can remember..I see it as both a way to express myself and another creative outlet. I can clearly remember one incident in national school where I got in trouble with the nuns because I brought in a bright pink lipstick and put it on every girl in the class.
What do you love the most about being a MUA?
It’s going to sound like a cliche but what I really enjoy most is the people that I’ve met and the friendships that I’ve made. I am always inspired by being around and collaborating with other creative people. I also love the fact that no two weeks are the same.

I’ve always been a fan of Bare Minerals especially in weather like this. It’s so easy to apply and is kind to your skin.
I’m always on the search for a decent mascara as I go through so many, my newest addition is Smashbox full exposure mascara and I’m really liking it.
Setting spray is your best friend..lightly spritz your foundation brush before application and when your final look is completed spray your entire face again. Your makeup won’t budge!
